Pete Bouchard is an American meteorologist, known for his appearance on NBCBoston since it was launched on January 1, 2016. He hosts evening news on NBC Boston and NECN. He is a member of the NBC Boston Weather Team, which also includes Matt Noyes , Michael Page , Jackie Cloak and Chris Gloninger .

Pete Bouchard was born in California. He graduated from Lyndon State College, Vermont in 1992. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.

Pete Bouchard’s career began when he worked at WHDH in June 2002, before being promoted to Chief Meteorologist in 2005, when former Chief Meteorologist Todd Gross left.
Bouchard previously worked for WPXT in Portland, Maine, where he was chief meteorologist for four years. He has also worked as a weekend meteorologist at WGME-TV and WMTW, based in Portland.
Additionally, Bouchard was nominated twice for a New England Emmy Award for Outstanding Weathercast. He also won Best of Boston for Best Meteorologist in 2007, 2008 and 2010.

There was once a controversy during the 5:30 p.m. broadcast on Monday, January 18, 2010, when Bouchard told what many people believed was an off-color joke while giving updates on snowfall totals.
He claimed, “At Princeton, we picked up 9 inches of snow, Billerica had 7. The largest amount I could find…almost as big as me.” The footage went viral on the internet. WHDH did remove the video from Youtube as it was explained as a technical error.
