- City held to a draw by Dortmund

Erling Haaland was substituted at halftime of Manchester City’s draw with Borussia Dortmund by Pep Guardiola, who has now explained his reasoning.
While City’s performance at the Signal Iduna Park was unimpressive as they were held to a scoreless draw by Dortmund, they still succeeded in topping Group G of the Champions League. At his former club, Haaland put in a quiet effort with just 13 touches and one blocked shot before being substituted at halftime. After the game, Guardiola disclosed that the striker had a little fever and had a knock.
According to the manchester city manager, he said:
“There were three things. I saw him so tired. The second one, he had a little bit of influenza in his body. Then the third, he had a knock on his foot. That’s why he was not able to play in the second half,”
“I spoke with the medical staff at half-time and they were a little bit concerned, but I saw him walking more or less normally. We will see.”
After the final whistle, Haaland, who had been a member of the Dortmund team for two years, walked out onto the field to greet the Dortmund Borussia fans. Although he didn’t appear to be having any trouble walking, a scan might be required to determine the full degree of his injuries.
