Pedro Geromel was born as Pedro Tonon Geromel on September 21, 1985, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is of Brazilian nationality and ethnicity, has a mixed ethnic background.
Geromel spent most of his early days in Sao Paulo with his brother. Ricardo Geromel . He is the son of Eliane Tonon Geromel and Valmir Geromel . He moved to Portugal from Sociedade Esportiva together with the Brazilian professional soccer player Elias Mendes Trindade and completed his soccer training there as well.
Professional career of Pedro Geromel
After his football training, Pedro Geromel moved to the northern club Chabes in the 2004-05 season. He later attracted the attention of Primeira Liga club Guimarães after his stellar performance at Chaves and made his debut for the club in a 0–2 home derby loss against SC Braga.
Geromel was also voted the best player in the Portuguese league of 2007-08. He joined Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln on June 30, 2008. The club was recently promoted to the top division. He later played for the Spanish soccer team Mallorca on loan in 2012-13.
Geromel has been playing for Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense since 2014 and has scored 3 goals in a total of 77 appearances. The coach of the Brazilian team, Tite, called him up for the national team on August 27, 2016.
He made his international debut playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 friendly win over Colombia at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos.
Geromel is also set to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He is included in this year’s Brazilian National Team trip to Russia.
