Ovie Soko is a British athlete and professional basketball player. He currently signed Le Mans Sarthe from the LNB Pro A in July 2020. He previously played with the London Lions, UCAM Murcia from the Liga ACB and Aries Trikala sides. He played with the Shiga Lakestars of the B.League and Great Britain Men’s National Basketball.

The television personality was born on February 7, 1991, in Worcester Park, England, United Kingdom. He is the son of Raymond Soko with whom he is in partnership with ASOS.com. There is no information about his mother or siblings in the media. He has a British nationality and belongs to Nigerian heritage on both the paternal and maternal side.

Regarding his education, he had attended Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia where he played basketball. He finished his high school career averaging 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game in his single season. In his junior, Soko played at Hampton Roads Academy where he averaged 17.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

He transferred to Duquesne in 2013 and played for a year, in his senior season. Then he went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft and signed a one-year contract with Boulazac Dordogne of the LNB Pro B. In 2015, he signed Aries Trikala of Greece for the 2015-16 season. Along with this, he signed a one-month deal with Serie A’s Enel Brindisi.

He then joined Liga ACB side UCAM Murcia in August 2016 on a one-year deal. However, he was extended for a year with the club in July 2018. Moreover, he had played with the signing of the London Lions in November 2019 and then with Le Mans Sarthe of the LNB Pro A in July 2020.
