  • Acccording to CAN, If they are shifting ground as regards same faith ticket, they will inform Nigerians.

Christain Association Of Nigeria CAN, yesterday insisits his earlier stance on same faith ticket still stands.

This is coming, after a pro-Bola Tinubu political support group under the aegis of City Boy Progressive Group applauded the Christian Association of Nigeria for reconsidering its decision not to accommodate him over the controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket.

This is even as the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress disclosed that the apex Christian body showed maturity by making a U-turn over its earlier stance.

At the political roundtable, the former Lagos State governor had reassured the apex religious body that he will not run his administration on the basis of religion if elected as president.

According to CAN, ”If we want to change any position, we’ll let the Nigerian public know,” the Christian body said on a day the presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, and their Social Democratic Party, SDP, counterpart, Adewole Adebayo, met with its leadership to discuss issues of concern to Christians in the country, ahead of the 2023 elections.
