Videos capturing the protest were widely shared on Twitter, showing the pilgrims expressing their disappointment regarding the poor quality of the meals they were being served.
Reports indicate that the pilgrims have been consistently voicing their concerns about the inadequate food quality ever since their arrival in Saudi Arabia. The situation further escalated when some of the pilgrims visited the Lagos camp and discovered that the individuals there were receiving better quality meals. This revelation intensified the tension surrounding the welfare of the pilgrims.
