Osun PDP suspends political activities for Davido son

The Peoples Democratic Party’s chapter in Osun State declared on Tuesday that all political activity would be suspended in memory of Ifeanyi, the late hip-hop artist David Adeleke’s (also known as Davido) son, who passed away on Monday.

In a condolence letter obtained in Osogbo and signed by the party’s acting chairman, Dr. Akindele Adekunle, the Osun PDP expressed its sympathy to the deceased’s family.

Additionally, it expressed sympathy to the deceased’s grandfather, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and the entire Adeleke family, and prayed to God to give them the fortitude to endure the loss.

The party called the incident “a very sad occurrence” and ordered all party organs and committees to suspend operations in sympathy with the family.

“We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.

“It (the PDP) directed all party organs and committees to suspend activities in commiseration with the family.

“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”

Everyone desires so. Unfortunately, we can only pray God grants the family the fortitude to bear the loss and move on.
