Biography
Olukayode Ariwoola was born on the 22nd of August, 1958. Between 1959 and 1967, he attended the Local Authority Demonstration School, Oluwole, in his home town, Iseyin, Oyo State.
Career
Olukayode Ariwoola was a former Justice of the Nigerian courts of appeal. On the 22nd of November 2011, he was appointed to the bench of the supreme court of Nigeria as Justice.
He was appointed the new acting CJN, following the resignation of his predecessor, Justice Tanko Muhammed. Although he had to wait from the day of the latter’s resignation till the 27th of June, 2022 before he was sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Olukayode Ariwoola has also attended several international and national conferences and workshops. On this mission, he has travelled to countries like France, the UK, Dubai, and so on.
