1. He started his football career at his hometown club, Olympique Club de Froges . He played for them for 6 years before joining Grenoble’s youth ranks at the age of 13.
2. Giroud is a late bloomer. At the age of 21 he signed his first professional contract with Grenoble. Young footballers usually sign a professional contract when they are in their mid to late teens.
