Born on March 10, 1984, Olivia Jane Cockburn is a New Yorker, the daughter of a prestigious journalist couple. They say that more or less the first thing she said when she learned to speak was that she wanted to be an actress. That’s why she studied acting at The Gaiety School of Acting, a Dublin institution. An illustrious Dubliner for whom she is passionate, the writer Oscar Wilde , inspired her for her stage name.
As soon as she returned to the United States, she was chosen for a fixed role in the series Skin , where she was the daughter of a tycoon from the world of pornography. After a small role in the film The neighbor next door , she became very popular for her role as Alex Nelly, a frivolous young bisexual, in the series OC . She subsequently played various roles in Alpha Dog , about the kidnapping of a young man in California, the thriller Bobby Z. and the horror film Tourists .
At the age of 19, she married the man of her life, Tao Ruspoli, a charismatic flamenco photographer and guitarist, who curiously holds the title of prince, as he belongs to the Poggio Suasa, an Italian dynasty. Thus, Olivia Wilde went on to hold the title of princess. She but she didn’t have a fairytale wedding, but apparently she got married on a bus. “My husband had his office in a bus that had the seats removed to enable it for his work and we got married there because no one would bother us in that place,” says the actress.

The famous medical series has catapulted her to the top, to the point that she has been recruited as the female lead in two major productions, Tron Legacy , where she plays Quorra, a computer program, and Cowboys & Aliens , about an alien invasion in the time of the Wild West.
