Oduduwa nation anthem made compulsory in all public schools in Ondo state.
The Ondo state government has stated that the Oduduwa nation anthem must be recited in all public schools in the state as well as all public functions.
The Ondo state government has stated that the Oduduwa nation anthem must be recited in all public schools in the state as well as all public functions.
The information was reported to have been conveyed in a circular dated May 6th, 2021, and addressed to all the academic staff in the state public service.
This circular was said to have been signed by the permanent secretary, Ondo state Teaching service commission, Tolu Adeyemi.
However, the signed circular was directed to the Tutors-Generals, all TESCOM zonal directors, and all the principals of public secondary schools in Ondo state.
According to the message conveyed in the circular, the Ondo state present administration led by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), showed support for the recitation of the Oduduwa nation anthem, as it believes that it is the Civic responsibility of all the residents in Ondo state.
A copy of the anthem was however distributed alongside the circular.
