Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has announced a new date for its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) supplementary entrance examination date for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The school management has revealed that the examination will hold on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
JUPEB is currently the only body formally charged with the responsibility to conduct common and standard Advanced level exams for candidates who have taken approved courses in the one-year foundational Programme in a University for a minimum of one year.
It was approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria on December 2013 and officially established in April 2014. Sitting for the JUPEB exams will enable candidates to gain Direct Entry Admissions into 200 Level in the Nigerian University of their choice, provided they pass the exam.
JUPEB can equally be used to secure admissions in other countries. This is as revealed by the board on its official site.
They wrote: “JUPEB Certificate are highly respected and recognized by various higher institutions both in Nigeria and abroad. The certificates/results are acceptable in increasing number of institutions in the country.”.
Obafemi Awolowo University has however joined the scheme since 2015 and requires candidates to obtain FIVE credits in English Language, Mathematics, and any three relevant subjects.
