Nigeria School Sport Federation (NSSF) has certified the Dolphin Swimming League held in Lagos yearly.

The inter-school league is created by Dynaspro Promotions Limited, in conjunction with Advanta Interactive Limited. It is equally endorsed by the Nigeria Swimming Federation, Lagos State Swimming Association, and the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC).

The certification was revealed by the coordinator of the league, Oluseyi Oyebode who spoke exclusively to The Guardian.

Oyebode revealed that NSSF’s involvement “will help the participants to get exposure to international tournaments”. He also expressed optimism that the tournament will “produce world-class athletes that will represent Nigeria at the 2028 Olympics”.

The tournament is set to begin on Saturday at Grange School, Ikeja and will feature other schools like Greensprings School, Grange School, Lagos Preparatory and Secondary School, Children International School, Riverbank School, St. Saviour’s School, and others.

The tournament will also improve the technical know-how of coaches in the country.

This years edition of the tournament is a great comeback as it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020.
