NORMA RUIZ: HER AGE, HER CURRENT PARTNER AND WHY SHE IS FAMOUS

Published

on

Born in Madrid in 1980, since she was little she already showed signs that art ran through her veins when she began to dance sevillanas. This display at home made her parents decide that she should take dance classes .

After training, he began working for a full year in the show ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ in the company of Miliki and Rita . After that, he decided to continue his dance training and did so at the Spanish Dance Conservatory, thanks to which he came to work with Antonio Canales in his early years.

At the age of 19, and with his entire career ahead of him, he suffered an injury that forced him to retire , so he had to make the decision to start over. She chose acting, but had to make the effort to continue dancing in order to earn money and pay for her studies.

Since 2003 he began to make a name for himself, working on the film ‘La fiesta’, and in small roles for series such as ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’, ‘La sopa boba’ or ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’ .

But, without a doubt, Norma Ruiz’s big leap to popularity came with her role as Bárbara in ‘Yo soy Bea’, the Spanish adaptation that Telecinco made of the hit ‘Ugly Betty’.   The large audiences for her made her become a popular character between 2006 and 2008.

After that role came others with relative success in films like ‘Unresolved sexual tension’ and series like ‘Fragile’, ‘Hawks’, ‘Blind on a date’ and ‘The man of your life’ . Many viewers will remember her for two ‘TV movies’, in which she played Rocío Dúrcal and Carmen Cervera.

Her career was relaunched with her role as Bárbara in ‘La que se avecina’, curiously the same name her character had in ‘Yo soy Bea’, where she became Amador Rivas’s girlfriend . She also had a role in ‘El Pueblo’, a series by the same creators as the neighborhood comedy.

She is currently one of the busiest actresses of the moment. Her time in the film ‘Lord, give me patience’, has helped her to also participate in the series that is based on her and that will be able to be seen in Atresplayer soon. She is also about to start filming ‘Old Wolf’, a police thriller.

PERSONAL LIFE

Norma Ruiz and Bosco James form one of the most solid couples on the Spanish scene, even more so when they became parents of little Alma, who came into the world in April 2021 .
