Tafa Oloyede is a Nollywood veteran actor known for his roles in Yoruba Indigenous movies.

This veteran actor ventured into acting in 1974 and died at the age of 69 on 01 February 2022 after a brief illness.

Reports show that he displayed no sign of illness on January 16 when he attended the annual general meeting of Bigscreen Entertainment.

2. Romanus Amuta

A veteran actor Romanus Amuta popularly known as ‘Natty’ in the foremost soap, ‘New Masquerade’ Top Nollywood Stars Who Died In 2022.

‘The New Masquerade’ was a Nigerian sitcom that aired on the Nigerian television network from the 1980s until the mid-1990s.

Romanus Amuta died at the age of 79 after a protracted sickness.

Lari Williams is known for his roles in the Soap opera The Village Headmaster, Ripples was a Nigerian, poet and playwright.

Moreover, he has featured in so many Nigerian movies before his death at the age of 81.

After celebrating her birthday on the 12 March, Takor Veronica’s dead body was found in a hotel room in the Nyinma area of Makurdi, Benue State.

Chinedu Bernard is one of the Top Nollywood Stars Who Died In 2022. The veteran actress died on 29 April in a hospital after she slumped while cleaning a church.

She has featured in so many Nigerian movies including ‘The Last Manhood.’

However, Chinedu Bernard died after she slumped at the St. Leo The Great Catholic Church Enugu.

7. David Osagie

The veteran actor was said to have died hours after he was on a movie set. Though the talented actor did not look sick when he appeared on a movie shoot, he is said to have slept and never woke up the following day.

According to actress Ibiwari, the super talented actor went back to rest after filming hoping to resume the next day but never woke up.

8. Gbenga Richards

Gbenga Richards was an actor, producer, director, and entertainer who has been in the Nollywood industry since the 1980s. He died after battling acute diabetes and high blood pressure.

On 12 May, the veteran actor who has featured in so many movies passed on leaving the Nollywood industry in tears.

9. Dejo Tanfulu

On 01 April 2022, Nollywood witnessed the death of a veteran actor Kunle Adetokunbo a Nigerian actor popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu.

His nickname ‘Dejo Tunfulu’ was gotten from his act as a stammerer in comic roles.

Dejo Tanfulu who has featured in so many Nollywood movies died on April 01, making some people think that it is April fool.

10. Ada Ameh

The last on the list of the Top Nollywood Stars Who Died In 2022 is Ada Ameh, who was most notable for her character as Anita in the 1996 movie titled Domitilla.

Ada Ameh was a Nigerian actress identified as Emu Johnson in the award-winning Nigerian television series titled The Johnsons.

She suffered from mental health issues prior to her death. Things have not been the same with Ameh after she lost her daughter, whom she gave birth to at age 14. Her daughter died in October 2020.

Ameh died at the age of 48 after collapsing in Warri on 17 July 2022.
