No Candidate Should Choose This University for 2021 JAMB Registration

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has warned every interested candidate not to choose the University of Ibadan in the ongoing 2021/2022 registration.

This was made known through a notice placed on the JAMB official website prior to the commencement of the 2021 UTME/DE registration.

Giving reasons, the board simply stated that the University of Ibadan will not be admitting candidates for the 2021/2022 session.

The notice reads; “The University of Ibadan is not admitting candidates for 2021/2022 session. Candidates are therefore advised not to choose the University in this 2021/2022 registration.”

Recall that the COVID19 pandemic occasioned a lockdown that shut the doors of every educational institution in early 2020.

Consequently, this disrupted the overall academic calendar. This way, activities of undergraduates of various institutions were suspended. Although a few institutions transitioned to Online mode of learning, many institutions lacked the facility to adopt this method.

Meanwhile, admission process was about to commence for candidates who sat for the 2019/2020 JAMB examination.

Presently, admission process has commenced on JAMB CAPS and some institutions for the 2020/2021 session. However, some institutions are unable to figure out the feasibility of admitting for the next session as the 2019/2020 session in still in play.

To regularize the academic calendar in the coming year, University of Ibadan has decided not to admit students.

Hence, every candidate is advised not to choose this institution in the ongoing 2021/2022 UTME/DE Registration.
