Nita Bieber
He shared the screen with “The 3 Stooges”, Tony Curtis and Judy Garland. The dancer and actress Nita Bieber died on February 4, 2019, at the age of 92, at her residence in Palos Verdes, California, according to her son Rocky.
Born on July 18, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, Nita Bieber was the daughter of a piano virtuoso and a classical dancer. After graduating from high school she made her feature film debut with a small role as a chorus girl in the forgotten musical Talk About A Lady , followed by a similar appearance in The Jolson Story , where she played a nightclub entertainer.
Along with The 3 Stooges , she stars in Rhythm and Weep , one of the comedy trio’s successful medium-length films, where she was an unemployed artist determined to commit suicide with other guys in a similar situation. She will form her own company, Nita Bieber Dancers, with other professionals, along with whom she hosts the show “Colgate Comedy Hour”, starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in Las Vegas. She then recruits her to MGM, who has her prepare a musical number for Nancy Goes to Rio , starring Ann Sothern , Jane Powell and Carmen Miranda . The scene was ultimately cut from the final cut.
