Nigerians have taken to Twitter to show their anger and displeasure concerning the recent Fulani attack in Benue state.
The Fulani herdsmen have reportedly massacre over 36 residents and college students in Shikaan Mbagena Kpav, a TIV community in Benue State.
No doubt the insistent killing that has bedeviled Benue state is really any eyesore incident; Moreso, the deaths were recorded in the early hours of today, May 27.
You will recall that we earlier reported that the chairman of the Katsina-Ala local government area of Benue State, Alfred Atera, has lamented that bandits have killed over a hundred people in the state between Saturday and Sunday.
Apparently, the recent attack is the latest in the series of attacks that have befallen the state which affected four council wards, Yoyo, Utang, Mbatyu/mberev, and Mbayongo – in the local government.
Nigerians have however shown their displeasure on Twitter as the Hashtag #Benueunderattack took the number one trend for over 5 hours now amassing over 80K tweets.
If you are still blind or indifferent to the killings in Benue, Plateau, & Southern Kaduna, then you are EVIL. This is not a famers/herders clash. It is not reprisal attacks. It is a coordinated/planned killing of Christians in the North, to grab their lands. #BenueUnderAttack

We woke up this morning to see #BenueUnderAttack, another set of gory images of people being murdered in Benue State.
The earlier @GovSamuelOrtom realises his people are under attack & arm them to fight back, the better for him. There's no pretence about this.
Enough is enough!

You won't see the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS & the Presidency trying to stop the Massacre happening in Southern Kaduna by killer Fulani Herdsmen. The Presidency has continuously turned a blind eye to this Onslaught by killer Fulani Herdsmen. Enough is Enough? #BenueUnderAttack pic.twitter.com/MpWJz41jtU

You might tend #BenueUnderAttack for the world to see. But the world did nothing during the Biafra war. Over 5million people died & the world did nothing. Benue people are the ones that will protect themselves. If they kill you. Kill them. Nigeria govt is helpless and powerless.

A man who retired 20 Generals to appoint one man, is a tribal bigot, an ethnic jingoist, a Sharia advocate. If you’re not a CORE MUSLIM NORTHERNER, you can NEVER lead his Army. Fulani herdsmen are responsible for the killings in Benue, Plateau & Southern Kaduna. #BenueUnderAttack

Defend your lands. Defend your homes. Do not cede any part of your ancestral lands to these murderous Fulani militia. Special thanks to Nnamdi Kanu (the man who saw tomorrow), & Sunday Igboho. Non-State Actors will always rise to fill a vacuum in leadership. #BenueUnderAttack

I still can't understand why Ortom have deliberately failed to arm his people or set up a security to do what they Nigerian police have failed to do.
Amosun was able to import weapons and store in Ogun state gov house, why can't Ortom do the same? #BenueUnderAttack

Let it be known that there’s a genocide going on in Benue and the FG is unbothered. Let it also be known that if we all don’t lend a voice for Benue indigenes, sooner or later it will be a genocide occurring in our own ancestral homes because of cows.

You don’t need to drag Kiddwaya or 2baba to lend their voice, they don’t hold any public office, you did not elect them to represent you anywhere.
Hold your self and face the target, don’t relent who go talk go talk.#BenueUnderAttack

#BenueUnderAttack, Nigerian soldiers and police are your major problem. If you are still waiting for them to protect you, all of you will die. Nigeria security forces facilitate the movement of these Fulani terrorists. Until Benue people do the needful, you will continue to die.

The same people you're trying to eliminate are the ones responsible for the food Nigeria has in abundance. If they are scared and can't go to their farms to farm, what becomes of an average Nigerian who survives on < 1$ a day? We deserve to LIVE!!#BenueUnderAttack pic.twitter.com/jAZXlJLpz8

We can't keep quiet while #BenueUnderAttack, Plateau & #southernkaduna. This is genocide perpetrated by terror Fulani Herdsmen. The Buhari admin have refused to arrest & prosecute any of the terrorists for several years now! They obviously in support of the religious cleansing.
