Nigerian Pastor Organizes ‘Blues Thanksgiving’ in Church Following Chelsea’s victory

A Nigerian pastor of Truelight Ministeries church was seen celebrating the victory of Chelsea’s Champions League, inside his church on Sunday, May 30

Chelsea managed a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final of the competition at the Estadio do Dragao to emerge Champions League winners for a second time.

The only goal of the encounter came in the 42nd minute when Kai Havertz found the back of the net having rounded the goalkeeper to the happiness of Chelsea fans across the globe.

The Truelight Ministries, headed by Pastor Uwakwe organised a thanksgiving service for the feat in celebration of the victory

Several members of his congregation were clad in Blue colours while the pastor himself raised a Chelsea branded flag as they rejoiced.

However, his act has got a lot of tongue-wagging with accusations, as some social media users opined that, the act was normal while others believe it a normal thing
