1. Lil Kesh
Keshinro Ololade (born 17 March 1995), known professionally as Lil Kesh, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. He rose to the limelight after releasing the hit single “Shoki”.
During an interview with Blueprint Nigeria some years ago, the singer revealed that his father is a pastor. He also spoke about how he began his career by playing drums and acoustics in his father’s church. He also mentions that his father who happens to be a pastor has been supportive of his music.
2. Zlatan Ibile
Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael (born 19 December 1994), known professionally as Zlatan Ibile, is a Nigerian rapper and singer. He is the chief executive officer and founder of Zanku Records. In 2014, he won the Airtel-sponsored One Mic talent show held in 2014, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The singer revealed that his father, Pastor Omoniyi is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He also said his father had to adjust especially when they realized he was serious about his music and he was making something good from it. Zlatan also states that the kind of song he sings doesn’t mean he’s not a Christian.

Gabriel Oche Amanyi (born 17 March 1986), popularly known by his stage name Terry G, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record executive. He is widely known for his eccentric dress sense, controversial lyrics and awkward identity. He has been described by The Punch as “one of the world’s weirdest singers”, by Vanguard, and by Channels TV as the “craziest musician in Nigeria”.
It came as a shock to most Nigerian fans when Terry G revealed that his father is a pastor, not only that, but his mother also happens to be a chorister with the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

John Ighodaro (born July 5, 1990), professionally known as Johnny Drille, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. His career came into the spotlight when he released a cover of “Awww” by Di’Ja. He is currently signed to Mavin Records.
Johnny Drille’s father is a school principal and clergyman. Johnny Drille started singing in his father’s church at an early age. The singer opened up about how that reality made him concerned when he made the decision to do music. He said:
“Both my parents are pastors and at the onset, it was hard for them to accept that I wanted to make love songs and not very religious ones as was expected. I personally found it a difficult decision to make as I was very concerned about what people would think of me as a pastor’s kid. I think they are perhaps my biggest fans right now and are very proud of me. I know they still pray for me every time not to lose sight of the original call of God.”
5. M I Abaga & Jesse Jagz
Jude Lemfani Abaga (born 4 October 1981), commonly known by his stage name M.I Abaga, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He gained recognition in 2006 with the popularization of his track “Crowd Mentality” in Jos, Nigeria.
Also, his MI’s younger brother, Jesse Garba Abaga (born 10 August 1984), known professionally as Jesse Jagz, is also a rapper, record producer and songwriter. He signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 and released his debut studio album Jag of All Tradez that same year.
What you may not know is that the father of these two celebrity singers happens to be Pastor Chris Abaga of Chris Abaga Ministries, Abuja.

Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon (born 6 December 1993), better known by his stage name Reekado Banks, is a singer and songwriter. He signed with Mavin Records in 2014 and left the label in 2018. He went by the stage name Spicy before his record deal with Mavin Records. This amazing singer has given us lots of hit songs like Easy, Rora, Problem, Oluwa ni etc.
Reekado Banks grew up in a disciplinarian setting as both of his parents were pastors from Ondo state. Reekado Banks is the last child of a music-loving family therefore he gets maximum support from his family over his career.
