Nigerian carpenters jailed 6 months for stealing car parts
Two Nigerian carpenters identified as Genesis Hilary and Nwonkoro Uchechukwu have been sentenced by an Upper Area Court sitting in Kasuwan Nama, Jos, to six months imprisonment for stealing car parts.

More so, the presiding judge, Mr Lawan Suleiman, sentenced Hilary and Uchechukwu, after they pleaded guilty to the theft; they were given an option to pay a fine of N5,000.
While advising, the judge said the judgment would serve as a deterrent to those who would want to indulge in such criminal acts.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp, Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported at the Taranto Police Station, Jos, on July, 29.
The prosecutor said the officers arrested the convicts with the car parts during their routine patrol.
In addition, the prosecutor said the offence committed by the two Nigerian carpenters jailed contravened the provisions of Section 305 of the Plateau State Penal Code Law. (NAN)
Meanwhile, in another news, some operatives of the Ekiti State Police Command have arrested an Ado-Ekiti based vulcanizer in connection with the abduction of a popular petrol dealer, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami.
According to Independent Ng, the suspect, Ige Adu, was arrested with the kidnap kingpin, Bummi Ogunremi, amongst other suspects.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Sunday Abutu, while parading the suspects before newsmen, said the suspects were arrested on Saturday, 6th November 2021, at about 4 pm, by operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), following a tip-off from members of the public.
