Nidhal Saadi (in Arabic: نضال سعدي ) is a Tunisian actor, animator and humorist, he was born on September 2, 1988 in Tunis, from a Tunisian family. He is particularly known for having played the role of Beaugosse bad boy “Bayrem” in the Tunisian soap opera “Awled Moufida” broadcast on El Hiwar Tounsi . He was revealed to the general Tunisian public with the character of “Shams” in the fourth season of the soap opera “Maktoub” by Sami Fehri .

Nidhal Saadi, a young Tunisian, stood out for his various passages in Laurent Ruquier’s program “We only ask to laugh about it” . Arrived in France at the age of 10, Nidhal studied management and returned to Tunisia where he obtained an acting role for the television series Awled Moufida during the month of Ramadan. And since he becomes one of the best actors in Tunisia. This young actor began to make himself more and more known by multiplying the shows and the One man show.

Nidhal Saadi, a real talent capable of making people laugh on both sides of the Mediterranean and also of evolving in the roles he plays to perfection! It is with seriousness and hard work that the actor develops his short but intense career.

In 1988, Nidhal Saadi was born in Menzel Bourguiba. He spent the first part of his childhood in Tunis. When he was 10 years old, his family left the country to settle in Paris. Laughter was a weapon to gain acceptance. From his childhood in Tunisia, he liked to make imitations or mini-sketches to entertain his family. Afterwards, the class became a playground, where he tested his jokes. Every day there was an audience, just for him.

At 18, following the end of his father’s contract, he returned to Tunisia again. This is the beginning of a new trauma for the young man.

Nidhal stays three years in Tunisia, the time to do a bachelor’s degree, then returns to Paris. He worked for a year as a sales coordinator in a hotel, then he started a master’s degree in business management.

During the second year of this master’s, something clicked: “He said one day that in less than a year, he would become an executive, and that he would work for the next 30 years in the same position… and that ‘ he would never have tried to fulfill his childhood dream. Nidhal Saadi therefore decided to try his luck.

Private Life, Career & Timeline of Nidhal Saadi

The young actor began his career in a café-théâtre in Ménilmontant. His first show, About His Bullshit at School , was well received. A week later, he gets a new appointment. This time, he speaks of the waking dream. It’s a total flop, it doesn’t amuse anyone.

Nidhal Saadi hangs on. He sent his candidacy to all the television shows in order to make himself known: Les Z’amours yet he is single, Master Chef even if he does not know how to cook at all, France has an incredible talent … Alone He just asks to make people laugh, finally welcomed it. However, the first passage in the show is going well, he even receives 17 from the public. The performances follow one another, Nidhal stays until the final. 

Very present on France 2 through this program, Nidhal Saadi wants to attract the support of his compatriots. In 2014, at a time when the Tunisia destination was already running out of steam, his sketch ”  Finding a safe place for the holidays  ” created a buzz in Tunisia.

In 2014, when ONDAR shut down, the comedian found himself without any income. It was a very difficult time, he worked in construction and as a pizza delivery boy.

Well it is precisely Tunisia that will get him out of poverty: a producer calls him and offers him to participate in the soap opera “ Maktoub ”. It must be said that it is a real renaissance for him. During filming, Nidhal Saadi begins to write his first one-man show in French. 

The following year, he performed one of the main roles, Bayrem , in the television series Awled Moufida during the month of Ramadan. These series allow him to finance a two-month training in Paris.

Nidhal Saadi then presents his autobiographical show “  Diplomatically incorrect ”. He travels to France, and attracts French and Tunisian spectators. In 2017, he won the best actor award from Mosaïque FM Romdhane Awards for his role in Awled Moufida 

His career developed more fully at the African level following his participation in the Moroccan Jamel Comedy Club where he enjoyed great success, which opened the door to a tour in the kingdom and in sub-Saharan Africa. 

The man who describes himself as an ”   Africanist or a lover of Africa  ” ​​is causing a sensation in Côte d’Ivoire, in particular because he has mastered the local slang, Nouchi, thanks to a childhood friend. Then, he participated in the program Le Parlement du rire “, broadcast in ten countries.

  • At the age of 6-7, Nidhal Saadi already knew he wanted to be an actor. His dream was to land a leading role in a Ramadan soap opera.
