1. Nicky’s parents were drug addicts themselves, so he grew up on drugs from a young age. After his father was arrested for drug possession, the family moved to Puerto Rico when Nicky was 10 years old.
2. He changed his name to Nicky Jam after a homeless man jokingly suggested the idea.
3. Raised in a low-income family, Nicky has been doing illegal work in a grocery store at a young age while bagging the groceries to support his family financially.
