Born on February 8, 1941 in Omaha (Nebraska, USA), Nicholas King Nolte is the son of Frank Nolte, a commercial agent, and Helen King, dedicated to housework. He was always an athletic boy, very fond of sports, and he was especially good at football, for which he got a scholarship to study at the University of Arizona. However, he wasn’t that good a student, so he was eventually expelled because of his low grades.
The young Nolte tried his hand at various institutions, until he realized that he was particularly good at acting and enrolled at Pasadena City College in California to study drama. I always felt strange with it and when I finally stepped on stage I knew what freedom is. He finally achieved mainstream favor on the big screen with Deadline: 48 Hours , an action thriller in which he co-starred with Eddie Murphy . He rocked the role of photographer in Nicaragua in Under Fire , and starred in A Crazy Man Loosed in Hollywood , Goodbye to the King , and the segment ofMartin Scorsese of New York Stories , where he was a painter.
Divorced from the aforementioned Sheila Page, Nick Nolte has subsequently been linked to Sharyn Haddad and Rebecca Linger, with whom he had a baby.
