Early Life and Education
A native of Ogbunike, Anambra State. Ngozi Ezeonu was born in Owerri to Dennis and Ezenwanyi Ikpelue and has six siblings. Prior to becoming famous as an actress, she studied journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and worked for Radio Lagos and Eko FM.
Ngozi Ezeonu, her parents’ only girl child, spent her entire life with them, from primary school to secondary school and then to her diploma. The top Nigerian actress took jobs to fund her diploma, after which she practised journalism for a while before deciding acting was what she was passionate about.
She has played a variety of roles, earning her a place in Nollywood and making her well-known. Ngozi rose to prominence in 2012 after starring in the film ‘Adesuwa,’ for which she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Career
After receiving her journalism diploma, the actress decided to work in journalism for a while before entering the Nollywood film industry in 1993. Her performances in the blockbuster film “Living in Bondage” and the film “Nneka the Pretty Serpent” earned her recognition and popularity in the film industry.
Although she is best known for her portrayal of mother figures, Ezeonu began her acting career as a child actress. Ezeonu was offered a supporting role as Nkechi, the antagonist’s best friend, in the Igbo blockbuster Nneka the Pretty Serpent in 1994 by veteran film director Zeb Ejiro in 1993. This was followed by her role as Thelma, a high society mistress, in Glamour Girls the following year.

Family and Marriage
Despite being a celebrity, Ngozi Ezeonu has kept her personal life private, including her marriage. However, it is known that she was happily married to a man named Edwin. The couple were married for some years and they share four children together. Ngozi Ezeonu is also known for being a family woman who prioritises her family and protects her image. Although there have been some separation rumours, and the couple have been confirmed to have divorced since 2015. But, Ngozi is still stuck with her husband’s name; she is yet to drop his name.
