American actor and photographer Nev Schulman began his career as a ballet photographer. He is known for his appearances in the 2010 American documentary, Catfish . Schulman is also a television producer and host, who broke away as executive producer and host of an American reality-based television documentary series. Catfish: The TV Show . He is in a marital relationship with an American writer, Laura Perlongo, and has a daughter, Cleo James.

Early life and education of Nev Schulman

Nev Schulman was born as Yaniv Schulman on September 26, 1984 in New York City, New York, USA. He is American and is of mixed ethnicity (German Jew, Polish Jew, Russian Jew, and Romanian Jew). Schulman has an older brother, Ariel Schulman, a well-known filmmaker and actor.

After completing her five-year dance training, Schulman began taking pictures and became involved in photography. She attended Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied Dance and Photography for two years (2004-2006).

On April 28, 2006, Schulman was involved in a controversial incident along with a student that led to his expulsion from the university. As Schulman said, he claimed that he hit the young woman in self-defense.

Nev Schulman began his career as a ballet photographer and began taking various photographs. In 2003, Schulman and his brother, Ariel, started a photography and film production company.

The following year, Schulman became involved in the contemporary ballet community in New York, after which he began photographing dance. She is also a large part of the Youth Leadership Committee (YLC) of the youth organization Leave Out Violence.

In 2010, Schulman starred as the title character in the 2010 American documentary film Catfish , opposite Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman . After that, he worked as a host and executive producer on MTV’s Catfish, along with his filmmaking partner. Max Joseph .

Additionally, Schulman has also written a book titled In Real Life: Love, Lies, and Identity in the Digital Age . In the book, she has given both observations and the story drawn from his work on catfish.
