According to Momodu, before the arrest of the suspect in November 2020, he was reported to have been into drug trade for years in Katsina State particularly the state capital.
Momodu while describing 15 years of conviction as quite a long period of time believes that taking the drug trafficker out of the streets will bring about a significant reduction in the illicit drug trade in the Katsina metropolis and will serve as a deterrent to those who are involved in the illegal business.
“We are coming after you, we will get you, we will prosecute you diligently and ensure we seek your conviction to put you where you rightfully belong, ” he warns non- repentant drug traffickers.
