Nathan West
He still needs filming to consolidate in the cinema, but Nathan West points out ways. At the moment he seems better known for being the husband of one of the protagonists of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, but it is a matter of time before he ends up consolidating himself as an actor.
Born on September 29, 1978, in Anchorage, Alaska, Nathan Luke West was a healthy boy who liked sports. As a teenager he played goalie in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, a sport he was pretty good at. He was a boy very loved by his classmates at the Anchorage institute, where after finishing his studies he was elected king of the prom.
It was his love of hockey that led him to acting, when he was recruited along with other fellow athletes to play the rivals of the protagonists in Vuelven los mejores , where Emilio Estevez trains a youth team in this discipline. They didn’t even quote him in the credits, but Nathan discovered that he was into acting and started going to casting calls to shoot soap operas. They signed him for the unknown The Adventures of ARK , and for small roles in The Lawyer , ER and Chicago Hope . In the cinema he was also given a small role, in the cheerleader film A por todasand in the teen movie parody Not Another Stupid American Movie , where he played an actor. During the filming of the latter, he asked for the hand of the protagonist, Chyler Leigh –known for being Dr. Lexie from Grey’s Anatomy– , with whom he had fallen in love shortly before, when they were both filming the series Seven in Paradise . The marriage has so far had three children.
After embodying one of the main characters in The Skulls II: The New Winner , West got his big break. And again it was thanks to hockey, when director Gavin O’Connor hired him to play the young player, who participates in the winter olympics, in The Miracle , starring Kurt Russell . However, luck has not been with him since that film, shot in 2004, since then he has only shot Forever Strong and an episode of the series Bones .
