Nalini Chidambaram (born 1946) is an Indian lawyer based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Now, she is the spouse of P. Chidambaram (Former Lawyer, Congress Leader and Rajya Sabha member). Meanwhile, Mr. Chidambaram has also served as the Union Finance Minister of India.
Furthermore, he handled responsibility for the Ministry of Finance and Home Affairs from 2004 to 2014. He fought for his first Lok Sabha election since the Shivganga seat in 1984. Apart from that, Nalini served on the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court. She shared the problems of gender discrimination in her profession.
However, the Delhi High School rejected his bail plea on August 20, 2019. Chidambaram indicted in the different corruption and INX Media cases. Still, he criticized his work during the 2008 and 2011 Mumbai attacks. However, his son Karti had a 5% stake in Aircel Company.
Furthermore, he also owned a company i.e. Advantage Strategic Consulting. P. Chidambaram tried to provide benefits to Aircel in the 2G spectrum case. Although, he suspected his involvement in the Aircel-Maxis fraud. Recently, the CBI team arrested him at his Jor Bagh residence.
