Nadia Buari was born on December 21, 1982, in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana. If you have seen the actress, then your guess is as good as mine. Far from being a guess, Buari is truly a half-caste. She was born to a Lebanese father and a Ghanian mother.
She attended Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School in Ghana and moved on to a higher institution. She studied Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and graduated with a BFA degree. While studying at the University, Buari was very much involved in dance and drama clubs.
Her time in the higher institution served as a foundation for her acting career which would kickstart in later years.
Career
Nadia Buari made her debut on the Ghanian national television with the series, “Games People Play” in late 2005 and got her first major film role in Beyonce: The President’s Daughter” in 2006. Her role as the lead actress (Beyonce) was her breakthrough. Buari’s career became one to be envied not quite long after her debut as her role in “Games People Play“, earned her a nomination as best actress.
Although she did not produce her own movie (The Diary of Imogene Brown) until 2013, Buari was a gamechanger in the Ghanaian and Nigerian movie industries. In 2008, Buari made a switch from Ghanian movies to Nigerian films and had her major Nollywood breakthrough with the film, “Beyonce and Rihanna“.
It’s amazing how the actress had her major breakthroughs in the Ghanaian and Nigerian movie industries by playing the same character name (Beyonce) in different movies. In the film, she starred alongside Nollywood’s Omotola Jalade Ekeinde who played the role of Rihanna.
