Muriel Pavlow
She was remembered by the most veteran in the United Kingdom, especially for her great works in the 50s in cinema and theater, where she displayed great elegance. Muriel Pavlow she passed away on January 19, 2019 at the age of 97.
Born on June 27, 1921, in Lewisham, south-east London, Muriel Lilian Pavlow was the daughter of Boris, a Russian-born salesman, and Germaine, a Swiss-French emigrant. As a child she became an actress with John Gielgud , at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Strattford-upon-Avon. At the age of 16, she became very popular playing the lead in Hansel and Gretel , a BBC telefilm.
During the Second World War, Muriel Pavlow signed a permanent contract with The Rank Company, taking part in classics such as the war film Maltese History , with Alec Guinness , the comedy A Family Doctor , alongside Dirk Bogarde , and the adaptation of a Agatha Christie’s work The 4:50 Train .
Married to fellow actor Derek Farr , whom she met on the set of Quiet Wedding , and who would work with her again on titles such as The Shop at Sly Corner . She was together with him until her death in 1986. They had no children. She retired in 2009, she lived in a nursing home.
