1. The Pursuit Of Happyness
Becoming the best version of your entrepreneurial life demands risk and some lonely ups and downs. And the movie, The Pursuit Of Happyness can give you some sort of inspiration during your lonely road.
Will Smith plays Chris Gardner, a homeless salesperson, in Gabriele Muccino’s 2006 American biographical drama The Pursuit of Happyness. In his first acting role, Jaden Smith, the son of Smith, plays Christopher Jr., Gardner’s son.
You will witness the true meaning of tenacity and integrity via Chris Gardner’s journey through the difficulties and hardships he must face as a single father. Will Smith’s character Chris Gardner is only trying to provide a good home for his son while pursuing his happiness.
This film demonstrates not only how difficult it is to be a single parent, but also how important it is to get back up after being knocked down and keep moving forward. We adore the close bond that the father and son characters in this film share; it looks so genuine, and it is!
Outside of the world of movies, the father (Will Smith) and son (Jaden Smith) are also father and son. Will Smith, who plays the lead role, displays his true emotional side throughout the movie as if he were going through the events depicted.
There could not have been a greater cast chosen for this film; the suffering, adversity, love, and hope all appear so authentic that you may mistake it for a documentary about someone’s life. Smith, who is typically seen as a humorous actor, demonstrates his true talent by causing the audience to cry.
The fact that the image is not corny is a huge surprise. From the trailer, it would have appeared that way: Will Smith advises his son, “Never let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something—even me.” Even that moment, though, is not cloying in context.
The film’s honesty adds to its charm. Its general outline differs significantly from the typical success story portrayed in cinema, in which success shows up with a bow and ribbon after a period of tolerable disappointment.
Instead, this success narrative follows the pattern that is most prevalent in life; it details a string of heartbreaking setbacks, missed opportunities, and certain things that didn’t quite happen, all of which are concurrently accompanied by an accumulation of hardly noticeable triumphs. The Pursuit Of Happyness is first on the list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch.
2. The Social Network
The Social Network is an American biographical drama film from 2010 that was written and directed by David Fincher. It depicts the creation of the social networking website Facebook and the litigation that followed, and it is an adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires.
This movie should not have succeeded, but it does so wonderfully. It shouldn’t be feasible for a tale to revolve around a youngster who becomes the youngest billionaire in history, a website that gains a million subscribers in just two years, and a cast of real people with names like Zuckerberg and Winklevoss.
A complex story of an unresolved dispute about the founding of a novel form of the website shouldn’t be suitable for a costly film rather than a television documentary.
Because it is not about technology but rather creativity, conflict, friendship, and betrayal, it is successful. It succeeds because of an exceptional trifecta of skillful direction, enthralling writing, and top-notch performances.
David Fincher, whose direction has had varying degrees of success, from “Alien 3” to “Se7en,” is in fine form with this showy but well-organized production that never fails to hold your interest. Aaron Sorkin, who created “The West Wing,” the greatest television show ever, and who reportedly does not use social media, provided the crucial, brilliant script.
3. The Founder
The Founder x-rays the story of Richard and Maurice McDonald – two endearing, down-home brothers who founded the first McDonald’s restaurant
When McDonald’s was trying to franchise, Ray Kroc, a failed gadget salesman, and hustler, stumbled into the initial McDonald’s eatery.
Soon after starting a commercial relationship with the McDonald brothers, Kroc became dissatisfied with his employment arrangement. Kroc ultimately bought out (or rather sold out) the McDonald brothers and made millions in the process.
Granted, the film won’t immediately make you want to cheer for the lead character, but it will show you how a straightforward concept for a reasonably priced product may go viral.
Entrepreneurs will be able to identify with Kroc’s experience of failing in unsuccessful business and sales attempts before identifying a need in the market and putting all of his efforts into filling it until the business was profitable. The Founder is third on our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch
4. The Wolf Of All Street
Based on Jordan Belfort’s 2007 autobiography of the same name, The Wolf of Wall Street is a 2013 American biographical black comedy crime film directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Terence Winter.
It describes Belfort’s perspective on his time working as a stockbroker in New York City and how his company, Stratton Oakmont, was ultimately responsible for his collapse due to widespread Wall Street corruption and fraud.
This movie is fantastic and ought to have received many more Oscar nominations. Jonah Hill is incredible, and Margot Robbie is so fantastic that it’s hard to believe this was her first significant role.
Leonardo DiCaprio is incredible and this movie is his best performance, but he’s not the only one giving an incredible performance. We adore the narrative of this film, and the direction in which it is presented is superb. One of Leo’s all-time best films, this is unquestionably among the greatest films of all time. We adore it!
5. Joy
Joy is a 2015 American biographical comedy-drama film, written and directed by David O. Russell and starring Jennifer Lawrence as Joy Mangano, a self-made millionaire who created her business empire.
Joy has a good first half. The tale is unique enough to catch your interest and keep you invested, the performances are great overall, and the direction is strong. Despite all, Joy still seems like a diluted reflection of what might have been.
There is a reason why all of the Oscar hype surrounding the film has all but died down, except a courtesy nod for Jennifer Lawrence as Best Actress. Continue reading.
The title character, a mother of two with a highly problematic personal situation, is portrayed by Lawrence. Although they are no longer married, her ex-husband (Ramirez) still resides there while he waits for his singing career to take off.
Her shut-in mother (Madsen) and her father (De Niro), a serial divorcee with a failed auto repair shop, live with her even though she has a distinctly bad relationship with both of her parents.
She works the night shift for an airline that is drastically reducing its hours and it’s also the 1980s; scary. She likes to experiment and has the work ethic to see a good concept through, but that is all she has going for her. Joy is fifth on our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch
6. The Moneyball
Moneyball is a 2011 American sports drama film directed by Bennett Miller and written by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin. The 2002 season of the Oakland Athletics baseball team and general manager Billy Beane’s efforts to put together a competitive squad are the subjects of the 2003 nonfiction book by Michael Lewis, which served as the inspiration for the movie.
It’s been claimed for a long time that professional sports are more of a political game than a game at all. In “Moneyball,” Major League Baseball is portrayed as a game of numbers rather than people rather than just a game of money. When general managers treat people like objects to be traded away with little consideration for them or their families, this is the height of callousness.
However, something was energizing and humanistic about the entire operation, even though Brad Pitt’s Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics, seems to go that even further by treating individuals like nothing more than numbers.
7. Pirates Of Silicon Valley
Pirates of Silicon Valley is a 1999 American biographical drama television film directed by Martyn Burke and starring Noah Wyle as Steve Jobs and Anthony Michael Hall as Bill Gates.
It examines the influence that Jobs’ (Apple Computer) and Gates’ (Microsoft) competition had on the creation of the personal computer and is based on Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine’s 1984 book Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer.
Overall, Pirates of Silicon Valley is an enjoyable, entertaining, and enlightening TV feature film that attempts to depict the history of two companies that forever changed the way we used to think, work, and communicate. This is true even though some artistic license was taken to make the drama more immersive.
After all, the gadget you’re reading this on is either a product of one of these two tech behemoths or has been greatly affected by it. It has always been a desire to watch this movie for a while, now that we have seen it, the nerd in us is quite happy. pleasantly recommended. Pirates Of Silicon Valley is seventh on our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch
8. The Big Short
The Big Short is a 2015 American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Adam McKay. Written by McKay and Charles Randolph and based on the 2010 book The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis showing how the financial crisis of 2007–2008 was triggered by the United States housing bubble.
This movie is uncommon in that the creators worked tirelessly to make a difficult subject as approachable as possible. To do this, various methods are employed, all of which are effective.
In truth, the movie occasionally has a Monty Python vibe. Why did this happen? One can only presume that the filmmakers were aware of the numerous studies that demonstrate how uncomfortable a modern city dweller becomes when presented with any evidence that suggests they were not paying attention when horrible things were happening.
Given that we are a democracy, shouldn’t the voters have exercised more caution? Isn’t that what they do? The strategies listed make an effort to make learning as enjoyable as possible by appealing to our SESAME STREET side. But be clear that this is an instructional film.
9. Catch Me If You Can
Catch Me If You Can is a 2002 American biographical crime comedy-drama film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks with Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen, and Nathalie Baye in supporting roles.
What a wonderful piece of cinematography! This is an incredibly entertaining movie from the talented craftsman Steven Spielberg, who is so damn good people take him for granted or resent his “manipulation,” or his seemingly effortless ability to create effective drama.
From the endearing animated title sequence (featuring John Williams’s delightfully sneaky score) to the beginning. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Frank Abagnale, Jr., a real-life teenage con artist who was so extraordinarily gifted that he was able to steal millions from various companies with forged checks while successfully assuming the personas of an airline pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer, among other guises.
This is by far the best performance that I’ve seen from him. The youthful improvisational criminal genius is being pursued by a severely rule-bound F.B.I. agent named Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), who is first hilariously outmatched by the agent. However, the agent is unwavering and tenacious, and he has the law on his side. This comes ninth on our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch
10. Rogue Trader
Rogue Trader is a 1999 British biographical drama film written and directed by James Dearden and starring Ewan McGregor and Anna Friel. The film centers on the life of former derivatives broker Nick Leeson and the 1995 collapse of Barings Bank.
Despite its many flaws, “Rogue Trader” is at least in part effective because it clearly illustrates the fundamental ideas behind what Leeson was doing — placing a double wager on a market that was only moving in one direction.
Since I used to work for the London Futures Exchange, I can’t truly claim objectivity. I frequently laughed aloud at the performers’ and extras’ awkward hand gestures, the absurd dialogue regarding cost and size, etc.
“Real” market-speak frequently assumes that both parties understand more than is necessary and omits a lot of information. However, that naturally makes for a lousy film, so one shouldn’t complain too much. Rogue Trader is tenth on our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch
Bonus
Billions
Billions is a complex drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance. Both the clever and ambitious Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, the powerful and influential hedge fund king, and the cunning, shrewd U.S.
Attorney Chuck Rhoades is on a collision course that could explode. Each is using all of his tremendous intelligence, power, and influence to outsmart the other. In this relevant, challenging series, there are billions at stake.
Even though Billions is a fantastic program that is set in the realm of finance, you don’t need to be an expert to appreciate it. Because those early seasons were so excellent, even though the last few seasons haven’t been as strong.
We still think it’s a decent program and give it a high rating. Leading an incredible cast that is all at the peak of their career here are Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti. We enjoy it and it is highly recommended. We hope you enjoy reading our list of the top 10 movies every entrepreneur should watch.
