Montserrat Julio
He participated in such renowned titles as “Las truchas” and “La tia Tula”, and came to share the screen with Jackie Chan. The veteran actress and writer Montserrat Julió died in Madrid at the age of 87, on January 26, 2017, as a result of a tumor that had been detected shortly before.
Born in Mataró (Barcelona) in 1929, Montserrat Julió Nonell moved with her family to France at the end of the Civil War. Pablo Neruda, then consul in the French country, transferred the clan to Santiago de Chile aboard the Winnipeg ship. She graduated in Dramatic Art at the university of this city.
In 1956 he returned to Catalonia, where he joined the Barcelona Drama Group. That same year she made her film debut in the little-known drama La prison de cristal .
