Published

on

Born in Mexico in 1973, she is the daughter of Alfonso Aragón Sac, better known as Fofito, and granddaughter of Alfonso Aragón Bermúdez, the well-remembered Fofó. Both were two of the most beloved members of ‘Los Payasos de la Tele’, a children’s program that marked an entire generation of Spaniards.

Although in 1984 she made her debut in a show run by her family, the truth is that she always felt the call of Journalism, a career she pursued. She made her television debut as the presenter of the first Club Disney, which began to air in 1992 and continued until 1996.

A year later she made her debut as an actress in ‘Médico de familia’, a series starring Emilio Aragón, her uncle. In the successful fiction she gave life to Dr. Marta Tena.

Although his career is more extensive in the world of theater and circus, he also went through the world of cinema, in the movie ‘Camarón’. Would shows like ‘Circo Alaska’, ‘Sonrisas’, ‘Diez nigritos’ (2000) arrive later? and in the musical ‘Cabaret’ (2003).

Mónica Aragón has never put aside the great legacy of her last name, which is why in 2013 she joined her father, Fofito, and her uncle Rody Aragón to star in the musical ‘How are you’, in which they recreated the songs from ‘The clowns on TV’.

For more than two decades he was one of his father’s great supporters, accompanying him in different shows and being part of them, both on stage and off. In 2021 Fofito announced her retirement, so she intends to continue working on new projects.

MONICA ARAGON’S PARTNER

Always discreet with her intimate life, Mónica married fellow actor Jacobo Dicenta, known for his role in ‘Amar es para siempre’. Their marriage began in 2002 and ended in 2012, coinciding in the movie ‘Camarón’ as filming partners.
