Military officer shot dead by Gunmen, a week to his wedding
Nigeria Military Officer, Faruk Yusuf, who was recently posted to Anambra State has been shot dead by the gunmen in Onitsha, a week to his wedding.
A Nigeria Military Officer, Faruk Yusuf, who was deployed to Onitsha, Anambra State, has been shot dead by gunmen.
It was gathered that Faruk who is from the Unguwan Sarki area of the Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, was killed a week to his wedding ceremony.
However, the polices have organized a search for the gunmen.
However, the Nigerian Navy is yet to release an officially statement on the death of its personnel.

According to the military source that spoke with the SaharaReporters, said Faruk was deployed to Onitsha, Anambra State, only to be murdered by the suspected gunmen who waylaid his life, a week for him to tie the knot with his lover.
“Killing someone just a week before his wedding is indeed very agonising and condemnable. This is a moment of great agony for the relatives, friends and family of the deceased. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
“The naval authorities in Anambra State have already launched an investigation into the murder. They are looking for the assailants and we are hopeful we will get them. This is indeed wickedness of the highest order by these gunmen. The cold-blooded murder of a military personnel will never be overlooked by the authorities.”
