- Richelle – Mike Moh first met his wife, Richelle, at the local taekwondo school in Woodbury, Minnesota. When he started school, Richelle was his senior and had already earned her black belt. Just two years before graduating from university, he co-founded the Excel Martial Arts taekwondo school in St. Paul with Richelle and her mother. They had only started dating at this time. They married shortly before deciding to move to Los Angeles to give Mike a better chance at pursuing a career in Hollywood. In 2010, Richelle gave birth to a son, Chasen. In 2013, they welcomed their second child, a daughter Maya. She later gave birth to a son, Tysen.

Personal trainer
Joey Ansah, one of the creators of Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist , had asked Mike Moh to collect even beforeofficially signing him up for roles in TV series. To make sure he was prepared for the screen presence he demanded, he hit the gym six days a week. To make sure he wasn’t exercising too much, he limited his workouts to 1 hour.
He focused on lifting heavy weights over a low rep range and with little rest in between. The goal was to shock his body to expand his figure. The emphasis was on lifting a heavy weight off the floor, making powerlifting moves like squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses an integral part of his training.
He had one workout for squats and deadlifts, another for chest and triceps, and a separate one for back and biceps.

When it came to dieting, he consumed 3000-4000 calories a day. He ate as much as possible. Overall, he ate a lot of protein and a limited amount of carbohydrates. He had to get up in the middle of the night to get mass gainer protein shakes

Mike Moh facts
- At age 12, he began taking formal taekwondo classes and spending all evening after school in classes, which helped him earn his first black belt within two years of entering.
- During his college days, he worked as a martial arts head instructor in Minnesota at an ATA (American Taekwondo Association) studio. He had to work five to six hours a day, six days a week.
- He also worked on the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) demonstration team. It was during one such demonstration tour that he met Mike Chat, the founder of the XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts) movement.
- Mike Chat told him about the call for Asian-American action boys for a Hong Kong film. Moh sent in his tape and within two weeks had landed a role in Robin-B-Hood .
- One of the reasons he was in the role for Ryu in Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist was because he was suggested by fans on Facebook after the show’s producers solicited their opinions for casting calls.
