In February 2011, Michy Batshuayi made his professional debut with Standard Liège in an away game against Gent . He replaced Franck Berrier with 7 minutes remaining.

In August 2014 he made his first appearance for Marseille with a 3–2 win over Bastia . He came on for Dimitri Payet late in the 2nd half.

  1. In December 2011, he scored his first professional goal in the final group stage of the UEFA Europa League against FC Copenhagen . His goal helped his team to the round of 16.
  2. In April 2012, he received his first red card of his professional career after being sent off for chest pounding by Jeroen Simaeys. He was handed a 4-game ban by the Royal Belgian Football Association.
  3. In September 2012, he was sent off again for elbowing Benjamin Delacourt in the first half hour of play at Mouscron in the Belgian National Cup. He was hit with a 2-match ban.
  4. In September 2013, he scored his first professional hat-trick in a match against Oostende in a 4–2 win.
