Kosinski was born on the 6th of May ⁱⁿ the year 1974 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey. She is of Polish descent. Her father, Robert Kosinski is a retired biologist. He had worked for the New Jersey Environmental Protection. His mother is Jeanette Kosinski is a chemist. She grew up with her three siblings in Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey

MICHELLE KOSINSKI: CAREER AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Michelle began her career as a broadcast journalist for WIFR while pursuing a college education. She then joined WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, and formed the Piedmont Bureau. In 2001, she was voted “Charlotte’s Best Reporter” by readers of the city’s arts and entertainment magazine. The same year, in the fall, she joined WTVJ.

While at WTVJ, she covered a number of longer form investigative reports and federal court cases. In 2003, she received the Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards Craft for reporting on the Haitian immigrant issue. She started working with NBC as a foreign correspondent in London in 2005.

The same year, she was named “Women of the Year” by South Florida Women in Communications. She had worked nine years with NBC. During these years, she covered a number of national and international events. This includes terrorist plots and bombings in Europe, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and many more. 

In 2008, Kosinski received a National Emmy Award for her live coverage of the 2008 US presidential election. Kosinski is a married woman. She married retired banker Kimbell Duncan. The couple first met in London while Kosinski was working for NBC. After knowing each other for years, they tied the knot on August 9th ^, 2014.
