Bill Moore (1996–2013) – Michelle met London-born Bill while working at their gym together called Balmain Fitness . They bonded over their passion for the fitness industry. In 2001 they opened a health club in Haymarket and married two years later in 2003. Bill was 17 years older than Michelle but the celebrity coach defended that age wasn’t an issue between them, adding that it was on a physical and emotional level With his energy, Bill could beat kids half his age. When Michelle earned a big break to star in Australia’s Biggest LoserAfter a grueling 4-month audition, she rose to massive fame among the masses. When her name was trademarked, Bill became his wife’s CEO and immersed himself in expanding several business ventures on her behalf. The pair were so busy with work that they didn’t seem to realize they were emotionally drifting apart as partners. After 18 months of arguments and disagreements, Michelle decided to end their nine-year marriage. Despite not wanting to give up his marriage, Bill eventually gave in. Bill continued to work with Michelle until 2015 and maintains a friendly relationship with her. He moved on and married another woman named Lisa in 2017.

Steve Willis aka Command (2013 – Present) – Steve Willis is from the Australian Special Military Forces and went on to work as a laborer while studying to become a personal trainer. He also specialized in training for the CrossFit Games and met Michelle on the sets of Australia’s Biggest Loser. They developed a friendship while confiding in each other about their respective relationship issues. Michelle started dating Steve, who is 6 years younger than her, just weeks after her split from Bill Moore. At the age of 44, she surprised the world and herself when she found out she was pregnant with Steve’s child, later attributing it to her physical fitness. In December 2015, Michelle Axel Bridges gave birth to Willis. Steve Willis has three other children from former partners. A daughter named Brianna and another daughter, Ella, and son Jack with a woman named Froso.

  • Up until the age of 30, she stated that she exercised 2-3 hours a day.

Michelle Bridges Facts

  1. At the age of 18, Michelle became a certified fitness trainer from the Australian Institute of Fitness .
  2. After school, she often worked two part-time jobs.
  3. While working at the YMCA in Alice Springs, Bridges came across something Les Mills International. She joined the company to give presentations and train other trainers on behalf of the company and traveled overseas frequently. In 1996 she became a master trainer.
  4. Michelle is absolutely against tobacco and smoking.
  5. She took her first fitness class at the age of 14. When she saw some children in her school who were not interested in sports, she suggested to her schoolmistress that she run a training course for them on the school’s squash court.
  6. Michelle’s mother could afford to get only one set of school uniforms. She used to wash and dry it every night to keep it clean for the next day. Michelle was also bullied for carrying a ragged bag to school.
  7. As a child, she was inspired by Jane Fonda’s fitness revolution and in her early twenties envisioned herself as a columnist/writer like Sarah Jessica Parker on S*x and the City .
  8. At the age of 26, Michelle moved to Sydney with just $300 and grew her passion into a multi-million dollar fitness empire.
  9. She met Kerri-Anne Kennerley at her Sydney gym and pursued her relentlessly for weeks before agreeing to give her a snippet on her morning talk show.
