  1. During her childhood she played many sports including baseball, basketball, powder puff football and traditional soccer. She also competed in track events.
  2. After graduating from university, she became a member of a legal department and later practiced in the Austin capital. However, her stay in the capital convinced her that her legal career was not suitable for her.
  3. After deciding against pursuing another legal career, Michelle took three years off as she didn’t know what she wanted to do. Also, her college credits were only legal.
  4. During the time she filed she lived briefly in Canada, where she worked a few odd jobs. She eventually returned to Austin and began working as a waitress while trying to figure out what she wanted to do in life.
  5. Eventually, with her father’s support, she has an appearance as an intern with the San Antonio Spurs . They later gave her a chance to work as a reporter.
  6. In 2002, she was hired by TNN to serve as a supporting reporter for their special coverage of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Bud Light Cup tour. She was originally hired for just 2 weeks but she impressed her seniors with her work and was hired full time.
  7. Her big break came in 2002 when she was hired as a co-host for the ESPN show. SportsNation , which later premiered on ESPN 2.
  8. In 2009, Michelle auditioned for a prestigious ESPN hosting job and was one of the last selected from a total of 142 candidates. When ESPN called her back and asked her to write an article about how she would improve the show, she thought it was a joke and decided to submit a sarcastic list of 10 stupid things. Ironically, this list helped her land the gig.
  9. She left SportsNation in May 2012 to join NBC Networks, working on sports shows and events, and was also asked to work as a correspondent for Access Hollywood .
  10. In March 2014, she resumed her duties as a co-anchor on SportsNation. Her early release from her contract with NBC was facilitated by a deal between NBC and ESPN that also included the rights to the Olympic highlights and coverage of the Ryder Cup.
