Michael Che is an American comedian, actor and writer. He is best known for his work as a writer on Saturday Night Live beginning in 2013. Subsequently, he was co-host of Weekend Update and co-writer alongside Colin Jost. With Jost, he co-hosted the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2018.

The multi-talented personality was born on May 19, 1983 as Michael Che Campbell. He is the youngest of seven children born to Rose and Nathaniel Campbell in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. Regarding his education, he graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
In addition, he first worked in customer service at a Toyota car dealership for two years.
