Personal trainer
When he first started, he mostly relied on lap running in the field and cross-country skiing. However, over the years he has changed his training methods dramatically. He also now performs shuttle runs, quick foot routines up the ground ladder, and sprints. The next day after the game, he gets on the stationary bike or goes swimming in the morning to open up his muscles.
When not involved in the game, he does sprints on the pitch after the game itself. He also works out at the gym for 20-30 minutes a day. These include upper body and leg workouts, strength training, and core stabilization exercises. He places special emphasis on deadlifts for a strong back. All exercises are done in moderation as the goal is to build strength without adding extra muscle.
