Mercy Eke was born on September 29, 1993. She went to Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri and after finishing secondary school, she went on to study Psychology at Imo State University. She graduated from Imo State University in 2014, at the age of 21, and quickly began a career as a video vixen.

Mercy Eke met and fell in love with fellow housemate Ike Onyema while in the BBNaija house. After several months of leaving the Big Brother House, they created a television reality show called ‘Mercy and Ike.’ The show premiered on April 26th, 2020. It was intended to highlight their relationship and follow in the footsteps of other television reality shows such as the reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show, however, was ended abruptly following Ike’s action. Ike, got down on his knees and proposed to Mercy Eke.
