Lanre Gentry is a businessman, a hotelier. He’s from Osun State but based in Lagos State, the businessman had his way with the popular actress, Mercy Aigbe some years back. The two got married in 2013 but separated from him in 2018, she allegedly being assaulted by her husband.

How Did their love life start

The Nigerian hotelier met Mercy Aigbe shortly after his first marriage. By that time, she was still working at the bank and not considering becoming an actress. The actress gave him a condition that he will marry her because she did not want a boyfriend and Girlfriend relationship

Of course, he happily agreed on all her conditions. Still, at the time when he started to court her, she was already engaged. Mercy Aigbe was already engaged as at the time when he started to court her

The two couple marriage ended due to domestic violence. The actress allegedly accused her husband of domestic violence, she narrated how she was maltreated and assaulted by her husband which made her divorced him. The couple had a child together ( Juwon Gentry).

The actress shared a post on her Instagram page, she revealed how she plays the role of a father and mother in her children’s lives, so she deserves to be celebrated because it has not been an easy task for her.

Reacting to the actress post, her estranged husband said some women who join and celebrate themselves on father’s day are not worthy of being called a housewife or mother by their children.

Pointing out some characteristics of a father, Lanre said fathers make their children happy. However, he cannot blame women who choose to assume the father’s position in their children’s lives, adding such women are not from a good background.
