The actress was born on September 17, 1991, in Cairo, Egypt to Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Christian parents. His family moved to Canada when he was three years old. Additionally, he grew up in Markham, Ontario with two older siblings.

For his education, he joined St. Brother Andre Catholic High School. He then graduated from Ryerson University and received a bachelor’s degree in theater and acting. Growing up, he fell in love with Egyptian comedies and also said that these movies inspired him to become a comedian in an interview.
