Melanie Griffith was born in New York into a family very close to the entertainment world. Her father was a publicist and her mother, Tippi Hedren , was a well-known actress and model. In the latter, she performed nude scenes that, due to her young age, were highly criticized. 9 years passed, in which she continued working as a supporting actress, until Brian De Palma gave her the opportunity to co-star in a film with Body Double. In this thriller, Griffith was a woman who spends every night with a different man. Her role, charged with eroticism, confirmed the actress as an attractive and talented woman, ideal for intrigue films. Although the play was not a commercial success, Melanie was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Secondary.

In the 90s Melaine was already an established actress and had the opportunity to be in a handful of films in which she worked with good actors and directors. However, for one reason or another, these films did not end up succeeding. Neither the failed adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s popular novel The Bonfire of the Vanities where she repeated with De Palma, nor Sidney Lumet ‘s A Stranger Among Us nor Glow in the Dark (where she shared the screen with Michael Douglas and Liam Neeson ) were great . successes.
In 1995, he starred with Antonio Banderas in Fernando Trueba ‘s English-language adventure Two Much . In it the two protagonists fell in love starting a relationship that ended in a wedding; although they had a daughter, they separated in 2014; Melanie’s sentimental life has previously had ups and downs due to her addictions, since she was married twice to Don Johnson .
The 90s ended for Melaine with three well-known works: she participated in Adrian Lyne ‘s version of Lolita , in Woody Allen ‘s Celebrity and in Locos en Alabama directed by Banderas in her behind-the-camera debut. But they weren’t very well received either. Her career was slowly declining.
After some films of little brilliance such as Forever Lulu or Cecil B. Demented , he began to work in fewer works and with more supporting roles. Bad luck, age that he does not forgive and perhaps his personal problems, influenced this decline that continues today.
