He took part in titles such as “The Devil Dressed in Blue”, although he worked mainly on dubbing animated films and video games. Mel Winker died on June 11, 2020, at the age of 78, at his Los Angeles residence, while he was sleeping, as specified by his family. 

Born on October 23, 1941, in St. Louis, after serving in the army, Mel Winkler made his debut playing a doctor on The Doctors , an NBC soap opera that was all the rage at the time. 

In cinema, he appeared in titles such as  The strength of a minor being ,  Doc Hollywood , City Hall , A different story and the aforementioned  The devil dressed in blue . He also had time for the series and the Broadway theater. 

 

He devoted himself quite a bit to video games, a field in which he stood out as the voice of Aku Aku in  Crash Bandicoot,  a popular title. He was survived by his two sons and four granddaughters.
