Meet Kazeem Adeoti, Mercy Aigbe’s New Husband.

Nigeria Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe was recently caught in the middle of a controversy after she revealed her new husband Kazeem Adeoti who is a married man and a friend of her ex-husband.

It was further revealed that Mercy and Kazeem had conducted a secret wedding in Lagos in the previous year, however, Nigerians did not find the revelation warming as they expressed their disappointment in the actress integrity and morals, some others supported her stating that Kazeem is a Muslim so he is allowed to marry more than one wife.

Not long after Mercy Aigbe revealed her new husband, her ex-husband, Asiwaju Lanre Gentry, took to Instagram to shade the Nollywood actress and her new man.

Lanre who shared two children with mercy shared a throwback photo of  himself, the actress, Kazeem and Kazeem’s wife at an event, stating that the ‘truth is out at last

”At last, I thank God the truth is out this is just one out of many to God be the glory. I don’t need anyone’s comment please.” he wrote.

Who is Kazeem Adeoti

Kazeem Adeoti, popularly known as Adekaz is a Nigerian Film producer, there are no details of his date of birth; he is, however, assumed to be in his late 40s and early 50s.

The records revealed that Kazeem is from a town named Orokun, under the Irepodun Local Government in Kwara state, but he was born in Lagos Island, Lagos State.

Education

Kazeem attended Biodun Nursery and Primary School, Offa in Kwara State, after which he proceeded to Oro Muslim High School Oro and then the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ojo, Lagos.

He, however, completed his secondary education at Surulere Secondary School Lagos. He furthered his education at the Kwara State Polytechnic to study Business Studies and the  University of Jos where he obtained a bachelor degree in Business Management in 2000 before proceeding to the United State in 2001.

Career

On getting to the United State, Kazeem Adeoti returned to school and got a license to practice as a Mortgage Broker throughout his stay in the US.

He however returned to Nigeria in 2005, to learn film production under the tutelage of Alhaji Wasiu Afolayan of Wasai Film and Kazeem Afolayan of Epsalum Production.

In the same year, Kazeem established his own business “Adekaz Production Limited”. In 2006, He shot his first movie titled ‘Ona Laafin’ produced by Jaiye Kuti and has gone on to remain relevant in the Yoruba movie industry.

Personal Life

Prior to his marriage with Mercy Aigbe, Kazim Adeoti was married to Funsho Adeoti in 2002, and their union was blessed with four children. Several reports claimed that Adeoti left his wife and four children in Minnesota, USA, and is now with Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe.

Controversial Marriage with Mercy Aigbe

Kazeem got married to Mercy Aigbe on the 31st of December, 2021  in private Nikkai in Lagos, where she was christened Aminah. The actress however revealed her new name to her followers on social media later that day with a video of her outfit of the day flaunting her new wedding band. Many of her friends flooded her timelines to congratulate her.

Only a few people were present at the ceremony. There was also a traditional Engagement ceremony held at the same venue.  Things however got complicated after  Kazeem Adeoti was revealed as Marcy Aigbe new husband on Instagram, after many speculations by gist and gossip blogs

A report alleged that Mercy Aigbe has been with the Film producer even when she was still married to Lanre Gentry. which generated a lot of backlash for the actress.

Recall that Mercy Aigbe and Lanre split up in 2017 after he accused her of cheating and she accused him of domestic violence

The duo got married in 2013, and stated earlier shared two children in their short marriage Mercy Aigbe claimed that her ex-husband, Lanre Gentry, behaved irresponsibly which was ultimately what led to the end of the marriage.

She called her ex-husband a liar, claiming that he never contributed to their children financial wellbeing. She stated that he has refused to show up in court to sign the divorce papers. She also mentioned that she reported him to the authorities for refusing to cater for his children.

Prior to that Lanre Gentry went on an interview where he claimed that Mercy Aigbe was mentally unstable, cheating and renting an apartment outside their home.

Not minding the controversy going on, the Nollywood actress took to a new post to celebrate Kazeem’s Birthday,  She thanked him for being a source of happiness and giving her endless support. She added that he is a great partner and a good man.
