Meet Boma, a BBnaija season 6 housemate
Boma whose real name is Boma Martins Akpore is an indigene of both Rivers State and Delta State, the only child of parents born and raised in Lagos.
The Big Brother Naija season 6 themed “shine your eyes” kicked off on Saturday the 24th of July with the show host unveiling the Male housemates, one of the contestants that were unveiled was Boma.
Boma whose real name is Boma Martins Akpore is an indigene of both Rivers State and Delta State, the only child of parents born and raised in Lagos.
Boma describes his childhood as “extremely tough”, having had to pay his way through school. One of the hardest decisions he had to make was to drop out in his final year, as he couldn’t make ends meet, but his life’s high point came when he saved enough money to pay for film school, an achievement that was subsequently eclipsed by his graduation.
According to a mini-biography on his Instagram profile, Boma began his stellar modeling career in 2003 before being chosen for a campaign with one of Africa’s largest telecommunication networks.
In 2004, He took part in the Nigerian Fashion Week one of the most prestigious shows held in the country. Boma was also the youngest model to grace that runway and immediately went on to model for some of Africa’s top designers.
Boma grew up playing soccer, hoping to play professional football someday until an unfortunate injury ended the dream. according to reported he’s trained in some of the most popular football fields in Lagos all the way from Yaba to Festac.
Aside from being an aspiring professional footballer and a model, Boma is also a mixologist and an actor, it came as a surprise to his fans that he was among the cast of the popular American tv series ‘Blacklist!’. While hustling on his acting career, he makes ends meet by working as a bartender by night, and a masseuse by day.
Boma is also the only BBNaija Season 6 housemate to be verified on Instagram with about 200k plus followers. Boma describes himself as “sexy, intelligent, adventurous, strong and fit”, and considers himself “extraordinary”.
Boma said he has suffered bouts of depression after his marriage failed and after suffering an injury during football tryouts, but he is determined to “never, ever, to give up”
