1. He started making music at the age of 18. At that time he was a sophomore.
2. After realizing college wasn’t for him, he saved around $2,000 over the summer and bought all the equipment he needed, including a Roland Fantom, Korg M3, Pro Tools and a new MacBook.
3. One of the first people to like his music was Tyler, the creator. Tyler discovered Matt’s music on Myspace and immediately dropped a message complimenting his skills.
4. After graduating from design school in Atlanta, he decided to move to Los Angeles and focus on making music with his hip-hop group. Strange Future .
5. Matt is a talented illustrator and even designed a logo for his friend and group member Syd’s merchandise. He also designs the covers and all merchandise for his music group, The Internet .
